Field engineer on board the semi-submersible barge Castoro SEI part of the SAIPEM fleet:

• NORD STREAM PROJECT - 48" TRUNKLINE BETWEEN RUSSIA AND GERMANY

The project includes the installation of two rigid pipelines by 48" of about 1248km each to supply the gas from Russia to Europe. The following activities were carried out and controlled during the operational phases of installation:

• Start up of the third section of the second line
• Normal lay monitoring the weather for any abandonment in case of bad weather
• Crossing operation with other rigid lines or umbilical to be controlled and supervised
• Lay down: final calculation to measure the cut to length to reach the target box of the project
